What about Maksuta from New Paltz, for the Greens? Why didn't they invite him? Too much competition for the Democratic voters.... Hein's camp probably squashed him like a bug.

I am looking forward to hearing what EVERYONE has to say. It is beyond my comprehension why we don't have better tourism in Ulster County. We have all of the natural assets that a county needs to attract visitors and NYC just 2 hours away. Our politicians have screwed up what should be a slam dunk source of revenue for us.

I hope Hein gets his a$$ kicked. He has done nothing to help the hotels in this county. The occupancy tax is an unfair burden on our lodging industry. Look at all the "for sale" signs all over the county. Ulster County is becoming a ghost town.

More Hein = More "for sale" signs

And just in case the door didn't hit you hard enough on the way out, Hein and his Democratic buddies have a mortgage to get you on the way out.

More Hein = More "for sale" signs

Definition: THE HEINLICK MANEUVER: SQUEEZE EVERY TAX DOLLAR YOU CAN OUT OF THE TAXPAYERS UNTIL THEY STOP BREATHING..the Heinlick maneuver.. Tax and spend EVERY private sector job out..More government departments ..More government employees..Better and higher salaries and benefits ..Don’t worry ..The democrats are gonna put the HEINLICK MANUVER to work as executive..

At least Mike Hein has some experience in running a County. What experience do Bernardo and Wickman have? A Roller Skating Rink? Pleeeeeaaaase. You can thank the Republican Legislature for all the "for sale" signs around. The jail has run this county into the ground. Democrats are still trying to undo everything that the Republican Party messed up during their tenure.

How does Mike Hein justify using County time to campaign? He should have told the organizers to make the debate after work hours. Or schedule it on a Friday so he could debate instead of playing golf on taxpayers time.

What about Quigley and Auerbach? When are they going to throw down?

The Dems have been in control of the county for four years. Yet, they still try to blame Republicans for everything. If Ulster County continues to have problems, then the Dems aren't doing their job. I'm sure the reason that the Democrats are not doing their job is also the Republicans' fault.

Before Quigley and Elliot Aurbach debate they have to teach Elliot how to read a spready sheet.

Two accountants debating.

I'd rather watch paint dry.

Ok, since Blaber won't post it on his blog, maybe it will get posted here. I would like to say that the picture that Blaber posted of Hein next to Schumer makes Hein look like a joey-bag-o-donuts, and Schumer looks completely uninterested in Hein.... just another photo op that he had to do. You'd think since Blaber is such a big supporter of Hein (and deletes all posts even slightly critical of Hein) that he wouldn't post such an unflattering picture. That's all I'm saying, and I'm a Democrat.

I agree, Blaber deletes all posts that are even remotely critical of Hein. And I agree that Schumer looks totally disinterested in Hein. Hein looks way too excited to be with the Senator. He's like a kid in a candy store... but the difference is, he's not going to be playing with Mommy and Daddy's money, it's going to be the tax dollars of Ulster County citizens. I don't want this wanna be celebrity politician playing with my money. I want someone who is in this to straighten the county out, not be a rock star.
