TSEC Doing a Good Job?

Ulster Politics likes the new blog UC Mojo (More Blogs, More Fun). We particularly like the feature, "what are they smoking". We also like the UC Fishbowl feature "Really?".

Here's our combined version about TSEC and the Times Herald Record.

Below is a link to an article in the Times Herald Record.

Here's the real story:

70 jobs and over $15 million in grants - that's $210,000 per job.

What are they smoking at the Times Herald Record?

After the glowing review that TSEC got, you would think that they created 210,000 jobs, not 70 jobs at a cost to the taxpayers of $210,000 for EACH job.

TSEC President and CEO Cozzolino on TSEC..... "Now we have the credibility"

Really Vince? $210,000 per job from grants and Now You Have Credibility?

What are you smoking?

Thanks fishbowl and mojo.... imitation is the sincerest form of flattery

70 jobs, don't think so. How can you count the existing FALA jobs as new. That's like crediting the IDA for every order a company gets. When they complete the TSEC orders do we then count those same employees as "new job" when they start manufacturing something else. Personally I think this TSEC is just a government piggy bank for a few bright & greedy individuals.

I went to the Ulster of Commerce Chamber Breakfast when Vince Cozzilino spoke about TSEC & then spoke personally to him aftereward...things seem to be looking good to me...he mentioned how IBM came in as strong as they left & that this "better rooting" type of building jobs will eventually be more like a tree than a rosebush...why not let the mid-hudson valley be the heart of a solar energy based tech & manufctring center...better than a useless cvs!!!!!

Word has it that TSEC and the "partner" companies will never go to Tech City, even with the free rent carrot that Ginsberg waived.

Obviously Falatyn is connected.
