The other day at Ulster Politics, we were discussing what our next post was going to be. After a day of posts from people complaining that Blaber won't post their comments, it became clear what our next post should be. When we started Ulster Politics, we never intended it to be the "Keep Blaber Honest" website. We started Ulster Politics as a place for people to get up-to-the-minute information about politics because the local media is failing the voters of Ulster County. It seems though, that Mr. Blaber just won't post certain things, and people are NOT happy about it. So bloggers, be sure to copy Ulster Politics on all of your posts to Blaber News. If he "edits" or refuses to post your comments, (as UC Executive Candidate Allan Wickman puts it), you'll have "bought some insurance" with Ulster Politics. Maybe we can shame Jeremy into stopping his censorship. You're in good hands with Ulster Politics.

Great idea, but HonestAbe has been doing that for months.

Blaber.....Bernardo met with John McCain two days after the County Executive debate. You said "if Bernardo does not catch up fast and I mean fast...Hein is going to destroy Bernardo 2:1 in November" Bernardo sat in Front Row at McCain's Town Hall Meeting in NYC and on camera asked McCain and how he could help small counties like Ulster with taxes? I think that's some pretty SERIOUS work (as you put it) on behalf of the Ulster County tax payers. Did Bernardo "catch up" fast enough for you. I haven't seen any pictures of Hein and Barack Hussein Obama floating around.

Hey Blaber....check out

http://youtube.com/watch?v=oIEzNZDP2XQ

At :48 seconds, John McCain shakes hands with Len Bernardo and pats him on the arm...

I'm sure the footage of Bernardo asking his question will "surface" soon

Ulster Politics is aware of the "breaking news" of Len Bernardo meeting with John McCain at his Town Hall Meeting last night in NYC. What we know so far is that (1) Bernardo was there sitting in the front row, (2) he asked John McCain a question about Ulster County and other small counties in America and that John McCain said "that was a really good question" (3) John McCain shook Bernardo's hand at the end like they were old buddies.

Ulster Politics will have full coverage of this breaking news very soon

Big Deal. I hope Bernardo uses those pictures as campaign material. John McCain = Bush's 3rd term. Hitch your wagon to McCain Bernardo, good move.

11:59, I think you are mistaken. If you would take the time to watch the YouTube clip, you would see that John McCain had invited INDEPENDENT voters to talk to him. Bernardo there was representing the Independence Party and independent thinkers. He's not hitching himself to the McCain. I think it's wonderful that someone from Ulster County is raising awareness of small counties like ours on a NATIONAL level. Barack Hussein Obama was invited but didn't show.... Are you holding that against Bernardo? Bernardo showed up and tried to represent Ulster County. Which is more than we can say for Hein. Where were he and Barack last night? Dining at Mariner's Harbor? What is Hein going to do for us?

Anonymous said...

Bernardo asked the most pressing question of the night: HOW DO WE LOWER TAXES FOR SMALLER COMMUNITIES LIKE OURS. It's wonderful that someone from our county went and asked that key issue. Anytime we can get Ulster County in the face of the entire nation is a great thing. I didn't see Mike Hein there.

You will never see a Democrat invited to a Republican event. They don't do that unless you are joe lieberman.

I will say that if Bernardo wants to attend Republican events with national Republican figures, he should and he should wear it proudly.

Anonymous said...

John McCain is not your daddy's Republican. I voted for him in 2000. Had we had him instead of Bushie Jr., we wouldn't be in the mess in Iraq. Moreover, Osama bin Laden would have been a heck of a lot more fearful of attacking us knowing a torture victim (rather than an baseball team owner) was the President of the United States.

Wasteful pork laden spending is driving this country to the poorhouse. We need independent leaders who are getting away from the partisan complaining of the past who will stand up. I'm not a Republican and I'm not a Democrat. I'm an American and so is John McCain, and Bernardo too.

BLABER ACCUSED OF SENDING FALSE EMAIL
Sent to me this evening by an anonymous source.

I hate to say I saw this coming, but I just posted about this earlier today.

Dear Friends:

Yesterday, many of your received a malicious anonymous e-mail from “Jack Saph” (or “Jake Saphiar”) using an e-mail address named “schreibmandemchair@yahoo.com.” The e-mail repeated tired and irrelevant criticisms of John Parete and Jonathan Sennett and asked recipients to support me for Party Chair. The obvious purpose of the note was to further divide our Party, while tarnishing my reputation as a uniter and clean campaigner. I am writing to inform you that, following consultation with a forensic IT specialist, Shannon and I have discovered the source of the e-mails: Jeremy Blaber. Although there were clues in the notes themselves suggesting that Jeremy was the source, unique numerical markers embedded in the e-mails conclusively establish that both of the anonymous Saph/Saphiar notes were sent from Jeremy’s computer.

About two weeks ago, you received my note regarding the election for County Chair , asking that we give space to our current leadership to prepare for the election to come and not detract attention from our candidates for Executive and Comptroller. Since then, in a series of communications, Jeremy has made clear that he was angry with me for allegedly “insulting” his friend Jonathan Sennett in that note. Apparently, the anonymous notes were “payback.”

A short while ago, I called Jeremy and told him I would be sending this note. I have asked him to send a note to all of you apologizing, not to me, but to the Party. And, while I hope that Jeremy will come to be a productive and valued Democrat in the years to come, he is a young man and I am sure we have all regretted decisions in our youth. But this was not a silly prank; anonymous character attacks are serious business. A political life built on these foundations will, if not addressed now, lead only to more serious indiscretions in the future, along with possible legal ramifications.

I consider this incident closed. Let’s get back to the business of getting Mike and Elliott elected.

Regards,
Julian

On the job training Blaber?? You think Bernardo will need "extensitve" on the job training? What did Hein get with Lew?? Hein used to work in a jewelery store and at a bank... then Lew takes him on and trains him on the job? How is that any different? What are Hein's qualifications other than working for Lew. You are saying that Hein wasn't trained on the job to be County Administrator. He was appointed to that job not elected.

5:07 on Blaber's Blog... saying that Ulster County is spending money like drunken sailors is an insult to drunken sailors. At the least the sailors spend their own money.

That's really nice Jeremy. We're all so happy for you. You know, Len Bernardo has been doing a Martin Luther King Day tribute every January since they opened their business. Last year, Maude Bruce from the NAACP was their honorary speaker, as well as Ed Lewis (Juma). So you and the Hein's are not the only "enlightened" people out there. People in District One (Rochester, Wawarsing, Ellenville) know how supportive the Bernardo's are of all groups. Of course the Bernardo's would never use something like this for their own advancement as you are for Hein. They are sincere people. Using this to further Hein's political career is so very shallow and of you.

In case you aren't going to post this. I'm going to buy the insurance that Ulster Politics is offering.

I've been reading Blabers posts lately and he seems to be letting a lot of stuff through that in "the past" he wouldn't. I see a lot of the posts above me that "copied Ulster Politics" got posted by Blaber. So I thought his days of Communist censorship were over. But I was wrong.

Here's my post to Blaber. He can't even take a little humor about himself.

Blaber are you aware that your new title "fair and balanced" is what Fox News uses? I don't think that's a smart choice. But maybe it is... you are about as fair and balanced as Fox.

This is a really good blog, now can Mr Hein & Mr. auerbach post a detailed resume of their training, education and work experience on this Blog so that we can dispel all the rumors about qualifications. I know they watch the blogs so lets see if they will answer voter questions.

Blaber.... Sennett wins your poll and your post is BLABER POLL FINDS MANDATE FOR SENNETT. Bernardo wins your poll by 100 votes and there is no mention of this?

Anonymous said...

Blaber why haven't you mentioned that Bernardo beat Hein in your own poll? You certainly can't claim that the poll was "not valid" or "fixed" because just one day before your headlines were BLABER POLL FINDS MANDATE FOR SENNETT. So you obviously find you own poll to be credible. Bernardo didn't have the same kind of margin that Sennett had, but Bernardo beat Hein by 100 votes.... so where's your headline for this one?

So lets see!!Bernardo asks McCain "How do we lower taxes for smaller communities lke ours? This question is to some one who admits he doesn't know much about economics. What a joke and your all bragging about it. Has he received an answer yet.

Bernardo doesn't have a clue how
to run County Government. He will create a disaster if he should ever win that seat.

Is he going to run to McCain for answers everytime a problem arises? What a joke and a joker.

Hey 8:41, you are a loser without a brain, or a Democrat who is trying to twist things. Bernardo was asking McCain what McCain could do to help small communities like ours if McCain were to be elected President. Bernardo knows what to do you idiot. What has Mike Hein done for our community? All I see if "For Sale" signs around Ulster County, and that Mike Hein is a slumlord if you check his real estate holdings. More Hein = More For Sale Signs

What a bunch of sick puppies. Picking on Jeremy. None of you would have blog's if it wasn't for Jeremy. Poor Bernardo, all his supporters can do is critize Jeremy and Mike Hein. What a bunch of losers. Read a book, watch TV, do something other than cry, cry, cry and complain, complain, complain.
