Click on this link and scroll down to the amount of money paid to TARP Recipients.
If you scroll down to the bottom of the list, the dollars handed out start at 3 million, which reads $3,000,000. We call can understand what 3 million dollars is. (note that they had a $250 campaign contribution and $0 for lobbyists)
When you get to the number at the top $45,000,000,000 - Can anyone fathom what the hell that is? That's a lot of money. (also note that they had a $5,752,630 campaign contribution and $8,790,000 lobbyist expense)
The length of this list is really scary too.
Taxpayer money comes from taxpayers.
Think about your own net worth..... how are we going to afford this.
Are we just printing more money?
For fun, we included the amount of money that these companies have spent on lobbying and campaign contributions. They proved to quite a good investment for these companies.

Your busted. U.C. Political Fishbowl? more like Blaber's News and Commentary. try searching "What a hypocrite!" on all the Ulster County Blogs.
Ulster County Republican Legislators have an important decision to make in the next month. Do you accept the Catalano eggs & bacon sandwich full of promises, planned events and fundraising or reject his leadership for the good of fellow candidates. You won't have to wait long to watch the 1st planned fundraiser featuring Lopez & Bonacic unravel. Catalano can't fill his office with donors. In other counties, a fundraiser with the help of these two would raise $20,000.00 at a min.
My suggestion, ignore Catalano, appoint a campaign chair to coordinate the districts & events. At least this way, the money you raise will be spent on Legislator's campaigns. Then again, bacon & eggs is pretty good...for those content to stay in the minority.
I say dump Catalano and his executive board as they are destroying the party. The republicans in Ulster county of fed up with this crew. After the election antics which cost us both the executive and comptroller races republicans want change they can believe in.
Stay on the TARP stuff... it IS quite the (corrupt, ya' think?) fiasco...
I printed out some info on it, as well... and iyiyiyi...
The second half (there is more to come) is apt to be (I think...) distributed "quite" (as one would hope!) differently...
But we won't know until we know...
